Who we are

AIVideoCaption (aivideocaption.com) is an online tool that creates timed, styled captions for videos. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. Questions: rushirathod943@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Account details. Your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and verified email from Google. We do not receive your Google password.

Your content. Videos you upload, their audio, the transcript, your caption edits, styles, keywords and any fonts you upload.

Purchases. When you buy a plan, we keep the plan, amount, GST, date and the Razorpay order and payment references linked to your account.

Usage, analytics and security records. Processing jobs, transcription minutes used, exports, pages visited, clicks, device/browser details, approximate location derived from IP address, and session replays. After sign-in, PostHog receives your internal account ID, email, name and plan so activity across the website and app can be connected to the same account. Login credentials, one-time codes, account emails and payment-related details are masked in replays. Other interface and form text, including project names and caption workspace content, may appear so product issues can be diagnosed.

How we use it

To sign you in, create and time your captions, save your projects, export your videos, activate and record the plans you buy, provide support, keep the service secure, and meet legal and accounting duties. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your videos to train AI models.

Services we rely on

We use third-party AI processing services to convert your video's audio into text and to process transcript text for caption-related tasks, including subtitle translation, keyword selection and word spelling. The service used depends on the selected or detected language. These services receive the audio or transcript needed for the requested task. PostHog provides product and web analytics and privacy-controlled session replay. Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and session replay. Google provides optional sign-in and the web fonts on our pages. An email provider delivers sign-in codes and notices. Our hosting provider stores and runs the service. Each receives only what it needs for that job. Word timing and video rendering run on our own servers.

Local pricing

We send your public IP address to a third-party country lookup service to suggest a pricing currency. You can change the currency at any time before checkout. We remember your choice in a first-party cookie and browser storage. The country estimate does not determine your tax residency.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay, a regulated payment provider. You enter your UPI, card, net banking or wallet details in Razorpay's secure checkout, and they never reach our servers. Razorpay handles that data under its own privacy policy. We keep a record of the payment reference, amount, GST and date for accounting and tax purposes.

Cookies and analytics storage

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived cookie (10 minutes) that protects Google sign-in. PostHog and Microsoft Clarity may use cookies or browser storage to distinguish visits and understand how the service is used. We use this for product improvement, not advertising, and we do not sell this information.

How long we keep it

Your projects stay in your account until you delete them. To save space, the video files of a project that has not been opened for 7 days (30 days on a paid plan) are removed automatically; the subtitles, style and project stay, and you can upload the same video again to continue. Deleting a project removes all its files. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account and content within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records. Copies in backups are overwritten within 30 days.

Security

Access to your projects is limited to your signed-in account. Sign-in sessions are stored as secure, hashed tokens, and connections use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw consent, and you can raise a grievance. Email rushirathod943@gmail.com from your account email. We reply within 7 days and resolve requests within 30 days.

Children

AIVideoCaption is meant for people aged 18 and over. Younger users may use it only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

If we make an important change, we will update this page and the date above, and tell signed-in users by email or in the app.
