Chinese subtitles with room for a careful character check

Get a timed draft from Chinese speech, then review the written characters in context. A good caption keeps the phrase readable on a small screen and the file usable wherever you publish.

Illustrative Simplified Chinese caption preview. This is a sample, not a processed video.

01 / The source

Begin with a video spoken in Chinese

Select Chinese when the speech in your source video is Chinese. AIVideoCaption makes editable, timed text from the audio. It does not translate English speech into Chinese or offer a separate Simplified-to-Traditional conversion control.

That matters for a product walkthrough, lesson or interview: the first task is to capture what the person said. Review one sentence at a time with the audio, especially where background music or a cut interrupts the voice.

02 / Writing review

Check the character choice, not just the sound

Names, places and terms can have a pronunciation that does not tell a recognizer which characters you intend. Compare the draft with a script, title card or official spelling. Also check numbers and punctuation. The output writing style can vary with the source and recognition result, so confirm that the characters suit your audience.

人名Names

Use the spelling the person or brand uses.

数字Numbers

Confirm dates, prices and quantities.

字形Writing

Check the characters your audience expects.

For clarity about Simplified and Traditional writing labels, see W3C language-tag guidance. This guide’s sample uses Simplified Chinese; it is an illustration, not a promise about every transcription.

03 / Small-screen edit

Break where the thought can be read

Chinese text usually does not mark every word with a space. Judge the caption as a phrase rather than counting spaces. Avoid leaving an opening or closing punctuation mark in an awkward position, and watch a vertical preview so the text does not cover the subject or platform controls.

04 / Delivery

A separate subtitle file or a finished clip

Use SRT when the destination supports a selectable subtitle track. Keep the text encoding intact when moving the file between tools and check it after upload. Use MP4 when captions should be visible in the clip. Preview the rendered characters and line breaks before publishing. The YouTube guide covers the track workflow; pricing lists export limits.
