01 / Source language
Start with the language being spoken
For Ukrainian speech, select Ukrainian when you upload the video. AIVideoCaption makes a timed transcript you can edit, then exports either an MP4 with visible captions or a separate SRT file.
Do not select Russian just because both languages use Cyrillic. The words and spelling in your source audio matter. This workflow transcribes Ukrainian speech; it is not translation from Russian or English.
02 / Script review
Read every name in Ukrainian spelling
Check Ukrainian letters such as і, ї, є and ґ, then verify personal names, places and organization names against the source. A recognition draft can mishear a quiet syllable. Play the sentence rather than changing a word only because it looks unfamiliar.

крок за кроком.
If you also publish Russian-language recordings, use the separate Russian subtitle guide for that source language.
03 / Readability
Make the line easy to finish
Preview a caption at phone width with the video playing. Check that a full thought stays visible long enough, that a line break does not interrupt the phrase, and that text does not cover a speaker or on-screen label. Fast interviews and overlapping speech deserve a second listen.
- MeaningKeep the speaker’s wording.
- NamesConfirm the written form.
- TimingRead the line while the video runs.
04 / Output
Use captions in the video or beside it
MP4 embeds styled captions in the picture for a social clip. SRT stores the text and timing in a separate file for a compatible platform or editor. See the YouTube workflow for subtitle tracks and current plans for export limits.
